Critics' Verdict

Critics widely praised Vicky Kaushal, the realistic combat scenes, sound design, cinematography and technical execution, while some found the screenplay lacking depth. Audience response was far stronger than the critical response, and the film became a huge blockbuster and one of 2019's biggest Hindi cinema successes.
