Critics' Verdict

Kabir Singh received sharply mixed reviews. Shahid Kapoor's intense performance and the film's music drew praise, but many critics strongly objected to its treatment of women, toxic masculinity, and aggressive romance. Despite the divided critical response and controversy, the film became a huge blockbuster of 2019.
