Critics' Verdict

Housefull 5 gets intermittent laughs from Akshay Kumar’s dependable comic timing, its sprawling ensemble and a playful murder-mystery twist, but crude humour, recycled gags and chaotic writing make this fifth outing more exhausting than consistently funny.
