Critics' Verdict

Padmaavat impresses critics with Bhansali's lavish visuals and a commanding Ranveer Singh performance, but several reviewers find the film overlong, thinly written and too focused on Rajput honour. Despite the divided reviews and controversy surrounding its release, it went on to become a major box office success.
