The story follows Ramakant, a miserly man who gifts a toaster at a wedding, only to obsessively try to get it back when the marriage falls apart almost immediately. Critics' Verdict

Toaster gets plenty of mileage from Rajkummar Rao’s eccentric performance and Sanya Malhotra’s easy charm, with its quirky premise generating some genuinely amusing moments. But uneven humour, escalating chaos and a repetitive second half keep this dark comedy from staying consistently funny or engaging.

HT calls the movie a madcap comedy, that starts with promise but loses steam later. The review says Rajkummar Rao’s eccentric performance, and Sanya Malhotra’s breezy presence keep the film engaging early on, especially as the plot spins from a miser wanting back a wedding-gift toaster into chaos and murder.
