New Delhi, Jan. 29 -- Actor Aishwarya Sakhuja, who shot to fame with her show Saas Bina Sasuraal (2010), and was recently seen in the second season of Sarabhai vs Sarabhai, feels that doing comedy was the best decision she ever took.
"I was getting offers for comedy shows for a number of years. I started my career with a drama, then did a thriller. My third show was Trideviyaan. All this worked for me, and then came Sarabhai vs Sarabhai. Many might think that this was my first show with Aatish Kapadia (creator of the hit series), but we had earlier started another project, which didn't take off," says the actor.
"Kisi ko rulaana bahaut asaan hota hai, but hasaana mushkil. You end up honing your skills [doing comedy]. Your natural talent reaches another level," adds Aishwarya. She goes on to compare daily soaps and love stories with a comedic production.
"A comedy show is not just about one boy and one girl, it's about the entire cast making the product look the way it is. Even the supporting actors are seasoned, so you end up learning more from them at times," says the actor. "At times, when you come back home (and think about it), you realise, 'Oh, I don't know how to act!'" laughs the 31-year-old, who was also seen on the show, Comedy Classes.
