Salman Khan might shoot in the state after a gap of 15 years, for Sooraj Barjatya's next in 2014

Mumbai, June 29 -- Much has been said about Salman Khan's next, the Sooraj Barjatya directorial, tentatively titled Bade Bhaiyya. The movie, which is touted to be a remake of this year's hit Telugu film, Seethamma Vakitlo Sirimalle Chettu, starring Mahesh Babu and Venkatesh, is all set to go on the floors sometime in the middle of next year. We've been told that parts of the movie will be shot in Gujarat.
A well-placed source from the industry reveals, "The team will shoot in Gujarat. It's supposed to be the story of two brothers, but other than Salman, none of the other members of the cast have been finalised so far. All eyes are on this Rajshri production, considering Sooraj and Salman will come together after a gap of 14 years (their last film together was Hum SaathSaath Hain; 1999)."
And what makes this film even more special is that Salman will return to Gujarat after nearly 15 years. The last time he shot a film in the state was in 1998 (Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam; 1999). The insider says, "In these many years, Salman did go to Gujarat for some movie promotions, but this time he will be shooting there. And the sequences shot in the state will be important to the film."
We've also been told that with this movie, the fourth generation of the Barjatyas is all set to enter the film industry. The insider says, "Sooraj's son, Devaansh, will be the first assistant director on the film, while his father will direct the movie. This will be Devansh's Bollywood initiation, and it will take forward the family's filmmaking legacy."
Since Sooraj is currently out of the country, he remained unavailable for a comment.
