Ranveer and Anushka just friends?

Anushka Sharma-Ranveer Singh link-ups are gaining momentum every day. It doesn’t help that they have been seen spending New Year’s Eve and performing for shows together. Singh even asked for a special screening of his co-star’s next release, Patiala House, where she is paired alongside Akshay Kumar. Unperturbed, Sharma says, “I will continue to hang out with Ranveer.”
The two are known to have friendly tiffs and Singh even affectionately calls Sharma, bhaltu (scatter brain) — a name that he gave her during the shoot of their film. She says, “I don’t care what people say. Ranveer is a great friend and we fight a lot. If I start worrying about other people’s opinions, I will start living a jaded life.”
Anushka SharmaAbout spending New Year’s eve with Singh, Sharma says since they were together, rehearsing for a film awards event, and had no plans for the evening, they decided to head to director Shaad Ali’s party. Sharma adds, “Ranveer and I have no problems being seen together. I don’t owe anyone an explanation, as I don’t want to get publicity by doing that. I’d rather be known for my work.”
Sharma adds that the rumours haven’t affected her friendship with Ranveer, saying, “I get along better with men. They don’t come with emotional baggage and negativity.”
Sharma also clears the air about rumours of her being uncomfortable with the intimate scene in Band Baaja Baraat, “There was nothing wrong with the act. That was the biggest conflict of the film — two friends who were never seeing each other end up spending a night together,” she argues. “The scene was not meant to titillate, nor did we promote the film with it. You didn’t know about the scene till you actually saw the film.”
