My journey would be incomplete without Heroine: Kareena Kapoor

For actor Kareena Kapoor, filmmaker Madhur Bhandarkar’s Heroine is a game changer. “My journey wouldn’t have been complete without Madhur Bhandarkar’s Heroine,” she says. In the film, Kareena portrays the role of Mahi Arora, who is a famous movie star in the Hindi film industry of today.

With no direct reference to any particular person, Mahi is an amalgamated observation of Madhur. “Mahi is not any one particular actress from the industry; she is an observation and combination of many people and situations. Like all my other films, Heroine is very close to my heart, as it is a film on my own industry,” says Madhur.

“Kareena is a wonderful actress, but her potential was not utilized completely so far. I have tried to bring out the 100% of her acting ability in this film and she definitely has given a powerhouse performance in this one,” says Madhur.

“Heroine has given me a platform to perform all shades of acting. I am very spontaneous when it comes to acting and Madhur is the same when it comes to filmmaking,” says Kareena. “When you will get to see the film, you will feel that it must have been a taxing journey for both Madhur and me to make this film. But, I had a lot of fun,” she adds.
