Mumbai, Feb. 20 -- Remember the famous duo Karan-Arjun who made celluloid history with Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan? Well, Karan Johar, who is now playing a double-role in his latest movie Welcome to New York, is bringing this avatar back.

The two roles essayed by Johar are named Karan and Arjun. In the film's trailer, you can see actors Riteish Deshmukh and Karan Johar in a conversation where Riteish calls him Karan, but Johar responds by saying that he is Arjun. To this, Riteish breaks out laughing, and calling himself Rakhee (the actor played who the role of Karan-Arjun's mother) begins to sing one of the 1995 film's iconic songs, 'Yeh bandhan to pyar ka bandhan hai'.

The film's director Chakri Toleti says, "Karan is such a talented and phenomenal actor. And imagine seeing him in a double role; the audience will love it. He has two distinct personalities that will be revealed in the film."

Welcome To New York is a heartfelt, rib-tickling comedy that narrates the story of two unlikely youngsters living in India in search of a better life. An unexpected trip to New York City sets them off on a comic adventure that changes their lives forever. 

The film comprises of an exciting ensemble multi-star cast with Johar in a never-seen-before double role as well as Diljit Dosanjh, Sonakshi Sinha, Riteish Deshmukh, Boman Irani, Lara Dutta, Sushant Singh Rajput and Rana Daggubati.
