Mumbai, Aug. 17 -- The trailer of Stree has whetted the appetite of the audiences, who can hardly wait to see how the mystery of the horror comedy unfolds. The film has created a huge wave of excitement, all thanks to its intriguing concept.

With so much excitement around the film, the makers have come up with a unique marketing idea. Instead of following up their hugely loved trailer with the usual dialogue promos, they have shot a bunch of wickedly funny promos that are separate from the content of the film. This unique idea is to keep feeding the audience's curiosity with promos similar in theme and mood, but at the same time not exposing more of the hilarious content from the film itself.

Talking about this, producer Dinesh Vijan says, "The premise of Stree is so unusual and intriguing that we decided to take a different route and not reveal anything more from our film! Instead we conceptualised character promos to give you a small peek into the lives of our characters and have a great blend of horror and comedy."

The five promos will be released digitally as well as on television, he adds.

Producer Raj Nidimoru says that a unique film warrants unique promotions. "Stree is the kind of story that doesn't have precedence. You can get a taste of it from the trailer. We didn't want to expose any more content from the film. So, instead of creating more promos from the film, we thought we could do additional content with similar mood and theme to generate more curiosity," he says. There will be a few of these promos that will showcase the character of each actor and also give an outline of their story.

Dinesh Vijan presents Stree, a Maddock Films production in association with D2R films and Jio Studios. The horror comedy has been directed by Amar Kaushik and is set to release on August 31.
