Starring Varun Dhawan with Banita Sandhu and Gitanjali Rao in lead roles, October is a romantic drama that apparently goes beyond the normal love stories.

Honestly, I didn’t grasp much from the trailer, and neither did it impress me much. It was slow, boring, and I had no idea what’s happening. The film will release on 13th April. Let’s see if the music album has something more to offer.

1. Theher Ja
The album starts, naturally, with a love song by Armaan Malik, where both Varun and Banita are crushing on each other while on their training for hotel management., but are playing hide-and-seek because they’re both young and shy. It’s an average song, really.

2. October Theme
An extremely depressing instrumental, but that wasn’t surprising.

3. Tab Bhi Tu
Another boring, depressing number, this time in the voice of Rahat Fateh Ali Khan who didn’t manage to make it a tad bit more interesting. The only good thing about this track is the beagle pup in the video that appears for a mili-second.

4. Manwaa
The first song that I actually liked. Sunidhi Chauhan’s voice is at its best, and the feel of the song is lovely and the lyrics are soulful. Finally, thumbs up for this one.

5. Chal
The most peppy number of all, and I like it. It’s cute, and the music is pretty awesome. This one is sung by Monali Thakur.

Overall a very drab album, just like the trailer.
