The story of a family from a conservative Indian state that broke every stereotype - and won on the world stage - inspired Aamir Khan's 2016 blockbuster Dangal.

Previously in July, a spokesperson confirmed that Dangal crossed Rs 2,000 crore mark worldwide.

Actor Aparshakti Khurana, who was seen playing the role of Omkar, the brother of the Phogat sisters in Nitesh Tiwari's directorial film Dangal (2016), celebrated his birthday on Saturday.
