I don't give a hang about what people say: Sonam

New Delhi, June 18 -- Actor Sonam Kapoor has always been noticed more for her classy sartorial choices, than her work in Bollywood films. And when the style diva landed up for a photoshoot to promote her latest flick, Raanjhaana, with Tamil actor Dhanush, it was more her style that did the talking, than her role in the film.
Looking stunning in an ivory embellished net sari, the 28-year-old explained why she chooses to dress differently. "Honestly, I believe if you want to look pretty for yourself, you automatically look beautiful. And I don't give a hang about what people say about how I dress up," she says.
Indeed, while she was appreciated for her red carpet looks at this year's Cannes Film Festival, she upped the out-of-the-box quotient with a nath (nose ring) during one appearance. "I saw my mother make a nose ring for a bride and then I asked her if I could have it to wear at Cannes. She told me that people will laugh at me but then they laugh at me for a lot of other stupid things and I wanted to wear it," she says, explaining her unusual choice.
Speaking of her character, Zoya, in Raanjhanaa, she says, "Usually, I snip out of characters from a film immediately. But Zoya, she just got inside me. It's just like one of the scars left on your body, which you have taken in and they will be with you forever. Zoya is like that for me."
