I don’t want my kids to go through what I did: Sanjay Dutt

By Hindustan Times
Actor Sanjay Dutt says that he wants his kids to be like him, but his only wish is that they should never face the adversities he faced. “I certainly want them to be like me but I don’t want them to go through what I have gone through,” says the 52-year-old, father to Trishala, 24 and twins Shahraan and Iqra, 2.
While Trishala is his daughter from first wife Richa, the twins were born to him from his third and current wife, Maanayata Dutt.
Dutt is enjoying fatherhood with the twins. “I could never experience fatherhood with Trishala then (as she grew up in the US). So I am living it now. I have to take out time; I wake up early with the kids and have breakfast, see cartoons with them, try coming back home early. When I was shooting in Diu for Agneepath, I used to fly home ever weekend to be with them,” he says.
The actor, who was in the Capital to promote his film Department, is one of the few to be close to both Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan, who’re arch rivals. However, he has never tried to play peacemaker. “I love both of them so there has never been any awkward moment,” About their fight, he says, “They are mature individuals who know what they are doing. If they ever need me, I am there for support.”
Sanju’s own club
Sanjay Dutt will soon be getting to the Capital its biggest night club-cum-discothèque at The Leela Kempinski, Gurgaon. A source told us that the club, which is expected to be launched in July, is quite international in its look, feel and technology used.
