By Namrata,

If you ask me, Vidya Balan can never go wrong when it comes saris and ethnic wear!

Vidya Balan’s fashion sense is quite unconventional. She is one actress who doesn’t follow trends or international high couture fashion brands. Unlike most B-town babes, Vidya has only stuck to Indian designers.

And that’s not surprising because she loves Indian ethnic wear and especially saris. Last night, the supremely talented actress attended the screening of Ritesh Batra’s film Photograph donning a black floral print sari from designer Varun Bahl’s couture collection. Along with the that, she wore a beautifully pair of earrings from Amrapali jewels and finished off her look by opting a ring and a little black purse.

While Vidya usually goes for saris with heavy embroidery or work, this time she went for a basic, simple sari and I totally love it. I like that her black blouse is plain and has full sleeves. It don’t know why but it really matches with the sari and also makes Vidya look very sophisticated and elegant.

There’s nothing extraordinary about the outfit but it’s Vidya who is carrying it off beautifully. I also like her make-up which isn’t too bright but quite subtle. When you look at her photo, her eyes stand out immediately. They are indeed magnetic. Also, the light lip shade goes really well with the black sari. Normally, everyone would go for a dark red lip colour with the sari black but I am glad Vidya didn’t and decided to give her look a twist by going for a lighter lip shade.

All in all, I am digging Vidya Balan’s sari look. It’s so simple and yet so classy. Guess sometimes less is more, right guys?
