Malaika Arora and fashion go hand-in-hand quite literally. Her sartorial sense in indeed something we all women crave for. There’s no attire that Ms Arora can’t pull off that too with great élan.

Recently, the gorgeous lady stepped out to attend Dwijing Festival in Assam wearing a classic red saree designed by Misha Lakhani. The saree isn’t too heavy and neither does it have any sort of bling or embroidery and yet Malaika looks drop-dead gorgeous. It’s the way she has draped her outfit that makes it standout. The matching waist belt and blouse work wonders for her look in entirety. Mind you, it’s not easy to pull off an all-red look from head-to-toe but then we are talking about Malaika and here she does it quite effortlessly.

Coming to the accessory part, I like how Malaika hasn’t gone overboard and has stuck to one chunky neckpiece which also adds colour to her attire. Also, that low bun and minimal make-up is a good way to finish off the look, keeping it simple yet elegant.

Lately, a lot of celebs have been spotted wearing a saree with a twist – be it with a waist belt, short jacket or a cape. And Shilpa Shetty Kundra has been in the forefront when it comes to setting this trend. Not too long ago she wore something similar like Malaika but it was all-black attire.

Like Malaika, Shilpa too has kept her look in this Tarun Tahiliani outfit pretty simple. Just a statement diamond neckpiece and a huge rock on her finger is all she needs to look yummy mummy.

So next time when you plan to wear a saree make sure to take some inspiration from these two style goddesses and you won’t find the desi look boring anymore.
