After a long hiatus, Amrita Rao is now gearing up to grace the big screen. Her film Thackeray co-starring Nawazuddin Siddiqui in the lead is releasing this Friday, January 25.

The pretty actress has been vigorously promoting her film and yesterday she was in Lucknow for the same. Amrita stepped out wearing a hand woven turquoise dupion silk angrakha style kurta from the Maahru collection of Ekaya label. She also opted for a matching duppata and finished off her look wearing a beautiful pair of jhumkis and a chunky ring from the Aquamarine jewellery collection.

Amrita was styled by Ekta Shah and her makeup and hair was done by celebrity artist Neha Seehra.

Coming to the outfit, I have a thing for long kurtas and I like the one Amrita is wearing. It’s pretty and gives out that royal look as well. But I don’t know about the matching duppata and if it’s doing anything for the look as such. I would have loved to see the entire kurta but sadly with that duppata it isn’t possible. As for the hair and make-up, it’s nothing extraordinary but works in the favour of Amrita’s nawabi look.

In fact, the day before Lucknow promotions, Amrita wore a gorgeous yellow gulaal sari from the label lajjoc and chose a contrasting pink blouse with it. She kept her hair straight and flaunted a pair of jhumkis, again from the Aquamarine collection, along with it. She kept her make-up simple but went for bright lips which actually looked nice.

Overall, I prefer her second look more than the first one. However, both the looks are quite easy to carry off and comfortable too. So tell us which outfit would you like to try?
