New Delhi, April 6 -- Popular music composer and singer Vishal Dadlani is excited to get the chance to sing the Hindi version of the popular classic number, The Bare Necessities, from the 1967 Oscar nominated animated film, The Jungle Book, in its latest live action iteration.

The original song was written by Terry Gilkinson and was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Original Song in 1967 and featured the lead character of Mowgli and Baloo, the bear in the animated movie.

"I had mixed emotions when the makers approached me to sing Baloo's The Bare Necessities for their upcoming Hindi version of The Jungle Book. It's a privilege that I can be part of such a timeless song," he says, further adding that the song's legacy over the years keeps him worried.

"But the original has been so hugely popular and hummable that matching that standard seems like a daunting task. I really hope people like my version of The Bare necessities," he adds.
