From attending the MAMI Mumbai Film Festival as a student and being part of the Cannes jury to being the face of the Malta India Film Festival, Vidya Balan has come a long way.

Vidya Balan is quite active when it comes to associating herself with social causes. Just a few days back she travelled to Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, and Patna, Bihar, to talk about the importance of proper sanitation.

Some fans will go to any extent to meet or see their favourite stars. Vidya Balan, too, recently had an encounter with one such admirer.

A few days ago, several news reports suggested that Bollywood actor Vidya Balan had joined screenwriter Anjum Rajabali and 190 other film-makers in signing a letter to send to the President, Pranab Mukherjee.

While there are many actors who like to stay in the news and like to share their off-screen lives on their social media profiles, actor Vidya Balan has stayed away from it all so far.

She has completed 10 years in the industry this year and one of the things actor Vidya Balan loves about the Hindi film industry is that talent gets its due.

Vidya Balan has completed a decade in Bollywood. Naturally, she has travelled to different cities and countries to shoot for her films and other projects.

Many actors mix work with leisure while travelling out of the city. And Vidya Balan is no different.

Two decades after she made her debut in television with Hum Paanch, which eventually catapulted her into the bigger world of showbiz, Bollywood actor Vidya Balan will soon be seen on the small screen again.

Actress Vidya Balan, who will be seen next in 'Shaadi Ke Side Effects', says women should not lose themselves in marriage.
