Mumbai, Aug. 12 -- Vicky Kaushal's next film, the Anurag Kashyap directorial Manmarziyaan, which is being touted as a love triangle, sees the actor play a DJ. The film's trailer that released a couple of days ago, opened to a great response.

The makers, in a unique promotional strategy, are releasing one song each a day and the first song to be released, 'F for fyaar', has Vicky making his singing debut.

Amit Trivedi, who has scored the music for the film, says, "Since Vicky plays a DJ in the movie, we felt it would be great if he could sing a few lines in the song to give a real feel to it. It has come out well. When Vicky heard the song, he was pleasantly surprised to hear his voice. He enjoyed the singing process."

Talking about working with mentor Anurag, who he previously worked with in Raman Raghav 2.0 (2016), Vicky says, "I am very excited and I have said this to Anurag as well, but I feel like I should collaborate with him once in every two-three years because he really makes you reinvent yourself as an actor, which I feel is very important for me. Each time I work with him, I see something new in myself and that's what happened in this film as well."
