Mumbai, July 27 -- Ranveer Singh, who is known to be one of the most carefree actors in Bollywood, recently showed a side of him that not many are aware of.

Unit members of film-maker Sanjay Leela Bhansali's period drama, Bajirao Mastani, noticed that the actor tends to spend a few minutes in private before starting the day's shoot.

"Earlier people didn't understand why he asked everyone to leave the vanity for a few minutes before he turned up on the sets. Later, during a casual conversation, he revealed that he prays for some time every day before starting to shoot," says a source from the unit. The source further adds that this, apparently, isn't something new.

It is a habit that was formed during his childhood, and he religiously follows it till date. "Many students say a small prayer before sitting for an exam in school or in college. Even Ranveer did, and the habit stayed on. Now, when he starts working, he says one for mental satisfaction," says the source.

When contacted, Ranveer says, "I always say a little prayer before entering a film set. I thank the Almighty for blessing me with the opportunity to be a performer on such a huge platform, and to do what I love for a living - act and entertain."
