Mumbai, March 6 -- While Priyanka Chopra has been earning accolades for pulling off high-octane action scenes in the trailers of Jai GangaaJal, director Prakash Jha, who makes his acting debut in the film, has also managed to hold his own.

The film-maker, who trained for two hours daily for six months to pull off his sequences as a cop, has managed to impress action director Sham Kaushal.

"Jha has pulled off some of the most hard-core action scenes with great ease. We did not compromise on the level of action for Priyanka, and we didn't do it for Jha's character as well. So, all the high-action scenes were done smoothly. And we were all shocked by his energy levels on the sets. Here, he would pull off one khatarnak (dangerous) scene as an actor, and the very next moment, he'd be in the director's seat," says Kaushal.

The action director adds that Jha had to train very hard to maintain his fitness level. "I had told him that he needs to be fit, and he trained for five-six months, two hours daily, in the most disciplined manner. The results are there for everyone to see. I always remarked how he was the youngest person on the sets," he adds.

Produced by Prakash Jha Productions and Play Entertainment, and co-produced by Milind Dabke, Jai GangaaJal released on March 4, 2016.
