Acclaimed actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui of Gangs Of Wasseypur fame is ready to step into Bollywood's commercial realms with Sajid Nadiadwala's Kick, in which he will share screen space with Salman Khan.
He's known as one of India's finest actors after films such as Kahaani and Gangs of Wasseypur (both 2012), but what you probably don't know about Nawazuddin Siddiqui is that he wanted to act in an altogether different genre of films.
He might be portraying hard-hitting characters in critically-acclaimed cinema but two minutes into a chat with Nawazuddin Siddiqui and the humble Budhana boy peeps out, through his simplicity.
The actor admits people will find his performance below par in Miss Lovely. He also says the script of the film scared him initially with its complexity. How exactly did he go about this experimental movie? Siddiqui tells Parmita Uniyal.
"We have roped in Ragini Khanna for this film. She will be seen opposite Nawazuddin in it. It’s a fun film and we have almost shot the major portion of the film, while the last few portions will be shot in Mumbai."
Nawazuddin Siddiqui, who will be seen in the Salman Khan-starrer, Kick, says he is not doing a miniscule role in the film.

Denying recent reports that actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui will not be a part of Salman Khan's Kick, producer Sajid Nadiadwala has confirmed that the actor will start shooting for the film soon.
They were last seen together in Anurag Kashyap’s Gangs Of Wasseypur (GOW; 2012). Now, it looks like Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Huma Qureshi are set to work together again in Sriram Raghavan’s untitled next starring Varun Dhawan in the lead.
Even as Nawazuddin Siddiqui continues to wow audiences with content-driven roles, he is also expanding his repertoire by starring alongside Salman Khan in an upcoming film.
