Madhuri Dixit (born 15 May 1967) is an Indian film actress who has appeared in Hindi films. Often cited as one of the best actresses in Bollywood, Dixit made her film debut in Abodh (1984) and received wider public recognition with Tezaab (1988).

Acknowledging that film promotions have a huge role in a film's success nowadays - a stark change from her heyday in the '90s when a film's marketing was very limited - she says,
