New Delhi, July 7 -- Singer Kailash Kher, who turns 44 today, has something special planned on his birthday for his fans.

The Meerut-born singer will release the video of his song about Lord Shiva, Bhole Chale.

"I deliberately waited for a year to shoot the video. There were a few things that I wanted to use in the visual medium to make it look perfect. For example, when we had released the audio, I had short hair, and I wanted them to grow longer, so that we can use that look in the video," he says. Last year, the audio of the song was released on his birthday.

He adds that some of the sequences in the video needed to be shot during a particular time, place and event.

"The video has a few shots from the Kumbh Mela. We wanted to include the hath yogis, and they are only present at big religious gatherings. So we had to wait," adds Kailash.

A believer of Lord Shiva, Kailash is hoping that the song will connect the youth with Indian traditions.

"When we released the song Babam Bam in 2007, people were surprised that the song was being played at nightclubs. Youngsters loved that song. I wish to do the same with this [new video] as well, and want them to understand the values, and the spirituality associated with Lord Shiva," shares the singer.

Asked about his plans for the day, Kailash says that he might record a song for music composer Devi Sri Prasad. "I haven't decided on that as yet, but [probably] it will be a working birthday for me," he adds.
