Mumbai, Aug. 21 -- After two war films - Border (1997) and LOC Kargil (2003) - filmmaker JP Dutta will soon launch his third war movie, Paltan. Like the other films, this project also has an ensemble cast that includes Jackie Shroff, Arjun Rampal and Sonu Sood, among others.

The makers will today release a new song from the film's soundtrack, 'Raat kitni', which sees the same team that composed the hit song, 'Sandese aate hai' from Border - Anu Malik, Javed Akhtar and Sonu Nigam.

"The first song, 'Paltan o paltan' received immense appreciation. 'Raat kitni' is out today, and it captures the emotions that our soldiers and their families go through when they leave their homes to serve the nation and honour their duty," says a source close to the film.

Speaking about the song, Sonu says, "When I entered the studio and saw JP Dutta, Javed Akhtar and Anu Malik eating together while they waited for me, and when I hugged them all, it was a surreal reminder of the year 1995, when I was called to sing for 'Sandese aate hain'. The synergies and vibes in the studio were the same. 'Raat kitni' is a beautiful song, brilliantly composed by Anuji and marvelously written by Javedji."
