Filmmaker J P Dutta says that he never makes films for the box office as he doesn't believe in comprising with his work.

Film-maker JP Dutta believes in making his projects look real, and his upcoming war drama, Paltan, is proof of that.

After two war films - Border (1997) and LOC Kargil (2003) - filmmaker JP Dutta will soon launch his third war movie, Paltan. Like the other films, this project also has an ensemble cast that includes Jackie Shroff, Arjun Rampal and Sonu Sood, among others.

JP Dutta's upcoming war drama Paltan, used real guns from 1967 to give the film an authentic touch. The director who is known to make war drama films is all set to complete his war trilogy with Paltan.

After films like Border (1997) and LoC Kargil (2003), JP Dutta is all set to complete his war trilogy with his upcoming film, Paltan, based on the IndoChina battle of 1967.

JP Dutta is known for epic scale war films. In Paltan, he will be expected to repeat the magic of Border and Refugee.

Filmmaker JP Dutta's daughter Nidhi Dutta is all set to make her acting debut in Bollywood.

Based on the Nathu La and Cho La military clashes of 1967 along the Sikkim border, the first poster of Paltan shows Indian and Chinese soldiers facing one another.

 

On the 18th Kargil Vijay Divas, we talk to filmmaker JP Dutta, who made the film LOC Kargil (2003), which portrayed the story of the war that India fought with Pakistan in 1999.
