Mumbai, Sept. 11 -- Irrfan Khan was in Toronto, Canada, on September 10, attending a film festival in which director Meghna Gulzar's Talvar was going to be showcased.

And though the actor was supposed to return to Lithuania to continue shooting for a new Japanese TV series, there has been a change in plan.

Irrfan will now fly to India for a day and a half to promote director Sanjay Gupta's film. The project also stars Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, who, till now, was solely shouldering the film's promotions.

A source says, "Irrfan was given 48 hours off to attend the film festival in Toronto. He flew from Lithuania to attend it. However, he has now asked the makers of the Japanese TV show for some more time to fly to India, and promote his film with Aishwarya."

The source further reveals that Irrfan will arrive in Mumbai today (September 11). "He will be here till September 12. He'll attend the promotions of the film, and fly back to Lithuania. He might also take some time out to promote Talvar in Mumbai," says the source. A
pparently, the actor is thankful to his international producers for accommodating his request. We tried reaching Irrfan, but he remained unavailable for a comment.
