New Delhi, March 26 -- After making his Bollywood debut with Divya Khosla Kumar's Yaariyan (2014), Himansh Kohli took a break to groom himself before taking up more films.

So, after a year and a half, when the actor started taking up projects, he made sure not to repeat himself.

"Lakshya's character (in Yaariyan) was received well by the audience. But few people pointed out that my school going boy look may not work for me if I'm keen on playing lead characters. I felt the similar way, though I don't have qualms about playing chocolate boy roles. So, I worked on my body and dancing skills," he says.

He played the role of Alex, the lover in his recently released Jeena Isi Ka Naam Hai. This film like Yaariyan, too had an ensemble cast.

Ask him how difficult or easy is it to mark your presencein such films and the actor says, "Post the break, I made sure that the character I play next must be different from Lakshya. Thus, Alex was a perfect comeback. There's a growth in his character that I liked. About working in films having ensemble cast, I never see a film that way. If the role is interesting then it'll get noticed. Also, I get to work with my seniors, from whom I learn a lot," he adds.
