Veteran writer-filmmaker Gulzar says cinema is not like a Bible which will teach people to be good human beings, but it is rather a mirror which reflects society.

He is still the most relevant poet in the Hindi film industry, to say the least. Sampooran Singh Kalra’s Midas touch can make any song rise above the ordinary.

Besides being an accomplished lyricist, Gulzar has also proved his worth when it comes to the art of filmmaking.

In a treat for Gulzar fans on his 83rd birthday, his unreleased film Libaas is all set to hit the big screen this year.

Everything he touches turns into poetry– and this is evident in his brush strokes as well.

Veteran poet-lyricist Gulzar has revealed that the late superstar Rajesh Khanna acted in 1971 superhit Anand at a nominal fee.

Lyricist-writer Gulzar at a music launch of a new animated film on Tuesday told the media to “be relevant to the occasion” when asked to comment on the ongoing tensions between India and Pakistan.

Film-maker Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra is gearing up for the music launch of his next film Mirzya.

Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra has teamed up with veteran lyricist Gulzar for the first time and together they will be presenting two newcomers in an upcoming romance drama.

Religion has always been an issue in all countries and their national awards being given out and in India it is no different.
