Actor-filmmaker Farhan Akhtar, whose last directorial venture was the 2011-released Shah Rukh Khan and Priyanka Chopra starrer Don 2, wants to get back to direction by next year.

Actor-film-maker Farhan Akhtar, who launched a social campaign - MARD (Men Against Rape and Discrimination) - after the Delhi gang rape on December 16 2012, feels that things are looking up with regards to women's safety in India.

Travelling is a crucial part of a Bollywood star's life, and Farhan Akhtar is no exception.    But the film-maker-turned actor is extremely protective of the women in his entourage - his manager and hairstylist.

Ever since Shah Rukh Khan-starrer Raees has been in news, rumours about the other stars have been doing the rounds. Farhan Akhtar, who will produce the film, was also said to be working in it. However, now, Farhan puts the rumours to rest, saying he is not acting in the movie
