Actor Emraan Hashmi will be seen playing Suryakant Bhande Patil, a detective who has solved 120 child kidnapping cases for free in the upcoming movie "Father's Day".

The film, starring Emraan Hasmi, will be directed by Soumik Sen and is slated for a January, 2019 release.

The genres that Emraan Hashmi is best known for are horror, modern urban drama, and action. The actor now wants to expand the range of his filmography and steer clear of horror for a while.
