Mumbai, June 9 -- As her second Bollywood film readies for release, producer Ashvini Yardi tells us about her equation with her partner at Grazing Goat Pictures, Akshay Kumar, the newcomers they're launching in Fugly, and how working on the big screen has its pros and cons.

Going by the recent trend, conceptdriven films    and those starring newcomers have done well, so we're positive. As of now, the feedback has also been satisfactory. The film is not just about friendship and youth, but it also deals with a social and political issue.

Each of them has done really well. They were pitted against a fine actor like Jimmy Sheirgill, and for newcomers to perform the way they did with him is incredible. Vijender Singh, Mohit Marwah, Kiara Advani and Arfi Lamba have all done fabulous work. I've known him for eight years. When we decided to form a company together, I thought we'd make a great team because we know each other well. He is busy with his other productions and acting ventures but, for me, he's just a call away. Sometimes, I hesitate to call him, thinking that he has a big release coming up and may be busy, but he's never said that he has no time.

TV is a very fast medium. You can make changes in shows if things are not going right. But in cinema, you do things for once and can't make changes once the film has released. Then again, one gets enough time to make a film, which I think allows for a lot more creative freedom.
