Ashutosh Gowariker’s new film is based on the third battle of Panipat, and the director was to recreate the period sets with maximum attention to detail.
 

After Amitabh Bachchan, Anurag Kashyap, Anil Kapoor,  and Jaya Bachchan, yet another celebrity from Bollywood is venturing into the television industry. Sources say that film-maker Ashutosh Gowariker has been secretly working on a TV project for a popular entertainment channel.

The response to Mohenjo Daro trailer did not surprise Ashutosh Gowariker as the director, who has three historical dramas behind him, was prepared for the criticism from historians and people on social media.

Film-maker Ashutosh Gowariker usually maintains a considerable gap between his directorial ventures.

Ashutosh Gowariker's last big hit was the Hrithik Roshan-Aishwarya Rai Bachchan starrer, Jodhaa Akbar (2008).

Shah Rukh Khan will be seen in Rahul Dholakia's Raees, a crime drama set in the 1980s, while Hrithik Roshan will travel back to the 2,500 BC for an ambitious project, titled Mohenjo Daro.

Filmmaker Ashutosh Gowariker, who was very keen on Hrithik Roshan playing the lead in his upcoming period drama, says that the actor has a striking personality which is best suited for his film.
