Mumbai, Aug. 3 -- It won't be an understatement to say that he is surrounded - quite literally - by actors in his family. In fact, Arjun Kapoor has already teamed up with his uncle, Anil Kapoor, in Mubarakan (2017) and has always maintained that he is big fan of "Anil chachu's works".

Of late, Arjun's other uncle Sanjay Kapoor has been getting rave reviews for his outing in the anthology feature, Lust Stories.

"Sometimes, I feel Dibakar (Banerjee; director of the Sanjay-starrer in Lust Stories and also Arjun's next, Sandeep Aur Pinky Faraar) has chosen to work with the entire family starting with me and now, Sanjay chachu (laughs). On a serious note, I think the kind of praises he is getting has been long overdue. I have not shot with him [as an actor] but I have seen him working in Mubarakan. It's great that he has been experimenting on TV and with films such as Luck By Chance (2009) and Shaandaar (2015). So, it's about time he got underlined and noticed as he is somebody who wants to act," says Arjun.

The Ki & Ka (2016) actor is "glad that Sanjay chachu took the chance" of working in Lust Stories "without thinking how his part would turn out to be and whether or not he should do it". "He just went ahead and worked [in it]. The biggest payoff [for him] is that he will now be taken more seriously as an actor, which is amazing. I am very happy for him because he deserves all the success in the world. And as they say, 'better late than never,'" he says.

Calling Sanjay "the funniest person" that he knows, Arjun feels he is also the "most patient, nicest and one of the warmest people".

"Some people have a journey which requires a lot of waiting. Maybe his wait is over and he will now be able to get his due as a performer. He has been like a father figure to me so if he is getting all the accolades, I am happier than anybody else for him and even more thrilled than him," he says, adding that "when it comes to Anil chachu, he is beyond all competition". He adds: "You know, he has more releases than the entire family put together this year (laughs)."
