Mumbai, Feb. 20 -- It's a well-known fact that Arjun Kapoor is a hardcore Punjabi but did you know that the young actor has never shot for a film in the state?

In fact, he has never had the chance to live in Punjab. But now, it's all going to change as Arjun is set to stay in the state for the first time - for a month - to shoot his next film, Namastey England.

"Yes, Arjun's wish is set to come true. Being a Punjabi, he has always wanted to stay in Punjab and experience its culture, warmth and, of course, the food. Strangely, he has never had the chance to stay in Punjab. In fact, a couple of his fleeting visits to the state for promotions of his movies made him want to discover Punjab even more," says an insider close to him.

Apparently, Arjun will begin filming for his next film, to be directed by Vipul Shah on February 22. "He will be shooting in cities such as Amritsar, Ludhiana and Patiala," says the insider.

When contacted, Arjun confirmed the news saying, "All these years I have wanted to live in and discover Punjab. Being a Punjabi myself, I have always wanted to get a deeper sense of the culture, the food and especially the people. I can't wait to travel in and around Punjab. I'm sure it will be one of the most memorable experiences of my life."

The film also stars Parineeti Chopra with whom Arjun has just wrapped up Dibakar Banerjee's next. The duo also starred in Ishaqzaade (2012), Arjun's debut film.
