Actor Alia Bhatt entered Bollywood right after school in 2012, with Karan Johar’s Student of the Year. But the fact that she couldn’t attend college doesn’t bother Alia.

“I never regret that I haven’t gone to college to study,” she says, adding, “I have no plans to get back to studies and I am 100 per cent sure about it.”

She says she’d rather learn something she wants to, than studying for a degree. “I am very happy with my life and my career in Bollywood. I believe that I’d instead focus on learning acting and filmmaking, instead of studying for a degree,” says Alia, daughter of filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt and actor Soni Razdan.

The 20-year-old is now focusing on work and says there is no time for anything else, even relationships.

“I am just too busy with my career to think about love or being in a relationship. Having said that, I’m not opposed to the idea of being in love,” says Alia, who was recently romantically linked to actor Arjun Kapoor.

Both Arjun and Alia star in the upcoming film, 2 States, based on Chetan Bhagat’s 2009 novel by the same name.

The young actor also doesn’t get bothered by petty controversies. For  instance, when on filmmaker Karan Johar’s TV chat show Koffee With Karan, the guests were asked to choose a better actor between Parineeti Chopra and Alia, most of them picked Parineeti. But Alia takes it in her stride. “Some people took Parineeti’s name, while some took mine. I think it is childish to think I will feel bad about this whole thing,” says Alia, who recently starred in Imtiaz Ali’s Highway alongside actor Randeep Hooda.
