Filmmaker Punit Malhotra, who has been associated with Bollywood love stories, says his next film, Gutka, starring Akshay Kumar will be completely different from his past projects and will be in the drama space.

Food to him is "life's most genuine pleasure and tastiest necessity". Not many may know that Akshay Kumar is a true blue foodie. We caught up with the actor while he was shooting in Thailand, to talk about all things delicious.

You'd call Akshay Kumar a busy man, what with the actor doing an average of four to five films a year. Even now, in fact, the actor has nearly three films lined up. Besides, he is also a producer.

Welcoming the warm festival of Lohri in the cold weather, Bollywood A-listers Amitabh Bachchan, Madhuri Dixit, Akshay Kumar, among other actors took to Twitter and wished a happy and prosperous Lohri on Monday to all their fans and wellwishers.

Talking candidly about his wife Twinkle, Akshay Kumar said on Koffee with Karan, "She was very confident about Mela and said that if the film didn’t work, she would get married. Fortunately for me, Mela flopped."

Before Akshay Kumar became an actor, he was a professional martial arts trainer. Now, over two decades later, the star is set to revisit his past for a social initiative that he is undertaking with Yuva Sena chief Aaditya Thackeray.
