Despite delivering a superb performance in ‘Airlift’, actor Akshay Kumar wasn’t credited at the 62nd Filmfare Award.

In fact, Akki’s fans were miffed that his hard work wasn’t given proper due and they took to Twitter to show their discontentment. Not just that, socially acclaimed flick ‘Pink’ underwent the same situation.

Kareena Kapoor Khan’s statement on Koffee With Karan season 5 made the scenario more interesting. She added a cherry to the cake. On the show, she said that she has been advised by Kumar- ‘To believe in rewards and not awards.’

Well, Kumar seemed to be unaware of the Kareena’s statement. He said, "She said that? I thought it was a secret.I told her to never say about it. I have to have her word with her. I just said ‘keep on working, don’t think so much. If you don’t get any award, just think that you’ve got the reward and carry on’."

Akshya was confronted about Airlift being ignored completely, to which the Khiladi had an amazing yet sarcastic answer. He said, "That's okay because maybe I don’t deserve it. There are many people who have done much better so they get it.”

Directed by Raja Krishna Menon, ‘Airlift’ was a war thriller film that featured Akshay Kumar and Nimrat Kaur as leads. The flick follows Ranjit Katyal, a Kuwait-based businessman, played by Akshay in the movie. He carried out the evacuation of Indians based in Kuwait during the Invasion of Kuwait by Saddam Hussein's Iraqi army. The flick released on January 22, 2016 and was also featured among the 2016 Indian Panorama section of the International Film Festival of India.
