Mumbai, Jan. 1 -- While several new faces are launched in Bollywood every year, only a few manage to live up to the hype attached to their debut films. However, some newcomers, who will debut in 2015, have the support of established actors and film-makers too. We ask experts how that helps.

1. Akshara Haasan

FILM: Shamitabh WHEN: February 2015 INDUSTRY SPEAK: With a launch pad like this - Akshara is sharing screen space with Amitabh Bachchan and Dhanush in R Balki's film - all eyes are on the younger daughter of actors Sarika and Kamal Haasan. But Sarika is confident that her daughter has the potential to do well. "When people get to know her, they will understand that she's really sorted, and responsible, even though she has innocent looks," she says.

FILM: Hero remake WHEN: June 2015 INDUSTRY SPEAK: Suniel Shetty's daughter, Athiya Shetty, is ready to take on a classic film to be produced by Salman Khan. Trade analyst Atul Mohan says, "Salman is known to spot talent, and we have seen him do so many times in the past. We're confident about this one."

 3. Harshvardhan Kapoor

FILM: Mirziya WHEN: To be announced INDUSTRY SPEAK: Reportedly, film-maker Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra did not want to cast known actors, since the film is a fresh take on a legendary love story. That's how Anil Kapoor's son, Harshvardhan Kapoor, bagged the part. Trade expert Amod Mehra says, "Since he has a famous father, the challenge for him would be to surpass his dad. He's getting a good launch pad. Moving forward, he must choose his films wisely."

4. Sooraj Pancholi

FILM: Hero remake WHEN: June 2015 INDUSTRY SPEAK: The son of actors Aditya Pancholi and Zarina Wahab, Sooraj has been in the news for a while now. The young actor has big shoes to fill, as he's reprising Jackie Shroff 's role from the original. Mohan says that with the kind of backing that Sooraj has, he should have a good start in Bollywood. "With the backing of Salman Khan (producer), there's no doubt that stardom will not elude him," he says.

5. Saiyami Kher

FILM: Mirziya WHEN: To be announced INDUSTRY SPEAK: Saiyami is relatively more experienced than her co-star Harshvardhan, as she's worked in a Telugu film before. But veteran actor Tanvi Azmi's niece is yet to prove her mettle in Bollywood. Mehra says that the stakes are also high as she's being directed by Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra. "His films feature good talent. So, if he has selected her, she's bound to be talented," he says.

5. Swastika Mukherjee

FILM: Detective Byomkesh Bakshi WHEN: April 2015 INDUSTRY SPEAK: Swastika is an established name in Bengali cinema, having worked opposite the likes of Prosenjit Chatterjee and Jishu Sengupta. "She is one of the most talented actors in Bengali cinema.
