Akshara Haasan, the younger daughter of veteran actor-filmmaker Kamal Haasan and National award-winning actress Sarika, says that though as a child she was highly influenced by her parents, she was always encouraged to have her own identity and become the best version of herself.

Akshara Haasan began her Hindi film career with Shamitabh (2015). The actor is equally active in the Tamil film industry.??

Akshara Haasan, who is making her Bollywood debut in R Balki’s Shamitabh — alongside veteran actor Amitabh Bachchan and National Award-winner Dhanush — likes being unconventional in her real life.

Akshara Haasan has inherited the acting legacy of her parents, Kamal Haasan and Sarika, who have been part of Indian cinema for over four decades.

A few months back, it was reported that Bollywood actor Aamir Khan is preparing to play a wrestler in an upcoming project. The film is rumoured to be a biopic on acclaimed wrestler Mahavir Phogat, who trained his three daughters and one niece in wrestling.

Akshara Haasan might be the daughter of two stalwarts - Kamal Haasan and Sarika - who have worked extensively in Hindi films, but the 23-year old (who has grown up in Chennai) was never very comfortable with the language.

While several new faces are launched in Bollywood every year, only a few manage to live up to the hype attached to their debut films. However, some newcomers, who will debut in 2015, have the support of established actors and film-makers too.
