Arjun in Mr. India!

Mumbai, May 25 -- Speculation about Arjun Kapoor acting in the sequel to the hit 1987 film, Mr India, has been rife for a while. And although the much-anticipated project is far from hitting the floors, we have now been informed that Arjun, indeed, will be part of Mr India 2.
The original film's star cast - Anil Kapoor and Sridevi - have already confirmed their presence in the Boney Kapoor production.
However, work on the film will only begin once Boney and his actor son Arjun wrap up their other professional commitments. "There's no question of Arjun not being part of the sequel. His father is producing it and Arjun is a star - it won't make sense to not have him on board," says a close family friend, on the condition of anonymity. "But they aren't discussing the project right now, as they are still working on the script's final draft. Also, both of them are busy with their respective movies (Arjun is working on Gunday and Boney is producing No Entry Mein Entry)."
Incidentally, Mr India 2 will not be the first time that Boney and Arjun will work together. The veteran filmmaker is also producing the Hindi remake of the Telugu film Okkadu, which stars his son. "Since Mr India is such a big franchise, the plan is to mount it on a huge scale," adds the family friend. "In all likelihood, they will start working on it towards the end of next year."
When contacted, Arjun refused to divulge any details, saying, "It's too early to talk about Mr India 2. First, we have to wrap up No Entry Mein Entry and the Okkadu remake." The actor is currently shooting for Yash Raj Films' Gunday in Wai, Maharashtra.
