Yukta accuses husband of violence

Bollywood actor and former Miss World Yukta Mookhey registered a complaint against her businessman husband Prince Tuli with the police on Thursday, alleging domestic violence and unnatural sex.

No arrests have been made so far. According to the police, Mookhey, an Andheri resident, has alleged that Tuli had been verbally and physically abusing her for the last few years and was also having unnatural sex with her against her wish.

The police have recorded Mookhey's statement and are making inquiries into the case.

Prabhakar Medhe, senior inspector, Amboli police said, "We have booked Tuli under IPC sections 498A (cruelty and harassment) and 377 (unnatural sex). We are probing further."

The couple, who got married in November 2008, had grown distant. In July 2012, Mookhey had filed a non-congnisable offense against Tuli. The police had then directed her to approach the court as the police cannot act on non-cognisable complaints.

Mookhey was crowned Miss World in December 1999 at the age of 20. She later acted in a couple of Bollywood movies.

Tuli's family owns a business empire in central India with interests in logistics, hotels, malls, education and construction equipment.
