His efforts, creative insight and commercial foresight have earned his production house an international repute that will live for years to come. He is Karan Johar. Today is a very special day for Karan as he turns a year older. Karan entered the film industry as an assistant director to Aditya Chopra for Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge and also helped him in writing the screenplay. He in fact even played SRK's close friend in the film. Not just that he was also the assistant director on this film and helped director Aditya Chopra in writing the screenplay for this film. Later in 1998, Karan stepped into the limelight with his superhit directorial debut with Kuch Kuch Hota Hai. The film earned Karan eight Filmfare awards. Since then there has been no looking back for this director. He even went on to host a TV chat show 'Koffee With Karan'. Today, he is one of the most famous filmmakers in the country known for his skills behind the camera and in front of it as well.
