Amitabh Bachchan, along with son Abhishek and Ajay Devgn, shot a song for Rohit Shetty’s comic caper Bol Bachchan, sparking off speculation that the track was a retake of one of his chartbusters from Amar Akbar Anthony (1977). He refutes the rumour.
“No, we most certainly did not shoot My Name is Anthony Gonsalves… We only shot the title track for Bol Bachchan which has an introduction shot of me emerging from an egg and blabbering English gibberish, much the Anthony song, before getting on with the rest of the song,” he clarifies.
Bachchan points out that Abhishek and he have done several songs together and it’s always a joy working with his son. What makes this one different is that it brings back memories of an egg and him.
