NEW DELHI, Sept. 21 -- The inmates of the Bigg Boss house should consider wearing earmuffs this season. Boxing legend Mike Tyson has been finalised as a participant in the reality TV show's new outing. The deal between the boxer and the host channel, Colors, was closed on Monday.
According to sources, Tyson is expected to visit India between October and December to shoot for the fifth season, which airs in October. The 45-year-old was earlier part of movies such as Rocky Balboa, The Hangover and The Hangover II. In tune with the show's format, Tyson has a string of controversies behind him he was convicted of rape in 1992; in 1997, he was disqualified for biting off part of his contender's ear during a match. His boxing license was rescinded and he was fined $3mn.
Buzz has it that apart from Tyson, Colombian pop star Shakira and Mexican actor Barbara Mori have also been approached to be part of the show. Others who may join the list are TV actors Parul Chauhan and Karan Singh Grover of Bidai, and film actor Riya Sen.
"In the last season, Ashmit Patel gave his side of the story about the RiyaAshmit MMS controversy. This time, they want Riya to speak up," says a source. While serial killer Charles Sobhraj's wife Nihita Biswas and former cricketer Navjo Singh Sidhu have confirmed participation, Mink Brar and Pakistani actor Humaima Mullick are other names doing the rounds. This time, the show will be shot in Karjat.
