Mumbai, Dec 14 -- In Delhi, Buddha Garden (also known as Buddha Jayanti Park) is famous for a peculiar reason - lovebirds indulging n open-air intimacy in the vast public park.
Very soon, the garden - situated in south Delhi - is likely to make its way into a Bollywood film. Makers of the Mallika Sherawat-Vivek Oberoi starrer Kismat Love Paisa Dilli (KLPD) are planning to shoot a few sequences in the picturesque garden. Producer Amit Chandrra and director Sanjay Khanduri had recently gone for a recce in Delhi and were very impressed by the place.
For the film, Khanduri will apparently have Vivek and Mallika indulging in some fleeting PDA in the garden. "Since the film is completely based in Delhi, the makers will show the city's many popular spots. And especially since the story is about youngsters, they want to shoot some portions at spots frequented by the youth, which includes Buddha Garden," says a unit member involved with KLPD.
He adds that since Chandrra has spent several years in Delhi, he has played an instrumental role in selecting all the locations for the shoot. When contacted, Khanduri - busy with pre-production - refused to divulge details, but says, "Yes, Buddha Garden is one of the locations we are looking at since it brings out one of the unseen flavours of Delhi. Let's see how things work out."
KLPD is going on floors by the end of this month in the Capital. Earlier, the film was titled Gyrah Chalis Ki Last Metro, but makers changed it because the film has all the three elements - Kismat Love Paisa - coming together in a fun crazy night in Delhi. KLPD highlights the glitter and glamour of Delhi and will be shot in various locales of the Capital. The makers are apparently seeking permission to shoot at the Qutab Minar too. Khanduri's film will have Mallika playing a Haryanvi girl for the first time, while Vivek dons the avatar of a middle class Punjabi boy.
