Vidya hasn’t let her marriage limit her: Raj Kumar Gupta

By HT

Raj Kumar Gupta worked with Vidya Balan for the first time in No One Killed Jessica when the actor was unmarried. They teamed up again for Ghanchakkar and the director praises the Parineeta girl for not “limiting herself” even after marriage.

“Vidya is a thorough professional. She doesn’t limit herself as an actor even after her marriage. She does whatever she is asked to do,” Gupta said. There were reports that the film has a kissing scene between Vidya and Emraan Hashmi, but Gupta refused to confirm it saying: “All I can say is they play husband and wife, so there is a space to explore.”

Gupta, who is directing a comedy for the first time after grim and gritty Aamir and No One Killed Jessica, said: “It is a situational comedy and want to explore myself as much as I can.” He admits it is “not easy to direct a comedy film”.

Ghanchakkar is slated for a June 28 release.
