Won't do shows where I look like furniture: Shashank Vyas

New Delhi, June 27 -- Actor Shashank Vyas, who shot to fame after playing the role of Jagya, in the TV show Balika Vadhu, is now garnering accolades for his second show.

And Shashant says that he has now got more clarity on the kind of roles he wants to play on the small screen.

"I want to do shows where the male actor has substantial part to play. I have seen shows, where actors stand like furniture. I don't want to do that as I know my craft well. I have gained this confidence after acting for over six years on TV," says the actor.

The actor asserts that it wasn't a conscious decision to chalk out his career in the direction that it's going in right now. "I never imagined I would play the characters that I have been offered so far. Things work in a click and now I've to choose my scripts carefully," adds Shashank.

Besides daily soaps, reality shows on TV seem to be fast picking. Shashank, however, says reality TV is not on his to-do list as of now.

"I want to act first, and reality shows are not about that. Not that, I won't do reality shows, but it's not my priority at the moment. Right now, I'd love to work in a theatre play and grow as an artis" he adds.
